Animal Welfare Seminar<br>MORE THAN GOOD INTENTIONS

With the purpose of promoting the implementation of quality systems in the different agricultural productions of Argentina, the Undersecretariat of Agricultural Politics of the Secretary of Agricultural Livestock Fisheries and Foods (SAGPyA) organized in the middle of August a Seminar about Animal Welfare. An auditorium full of producers, industrials and technicians of the cattle, poultry and pig segment listened carefully to the Surgeon Hanne Martine Stabursvik, specialist in animal health and welfare. The most important topics of the exposition referred to the scientific basis and the practical application of the animal welfare in the management of food quality, international laws, economic aspects, new market trends, the role played by consumers and the opportunities of the export countries to differentiate their meat and food products.
